first client – Nicole DelaCroix

Today has left me feeling like this:

and has now officially entered the TOP 5 BEST WORK-BASED DAYS EVER.

First, someone made the first ever purchase of one of my paperbacks via CreateSpace. 🙂

And then I was honoured and delighted to be chosen to help a funny and classy (though not always in the best possible taste, heh) lady edit her manuscript, being Nicole DelaCroix. It looks like a fun, shocking and somewhat voyeuristic journey into what secretly makes us tick, and is (tentatively) titled HOW BRAVE ARE YOU?

I worked through the first 2500 words or so, adding around 2000 of my own in notes, and submitted them to Nicole. She replied positively, including this awesome quote:

Based on your responses and gentle suggestions, I feel confident that you get what I was trying to do with this project. Your explanations were easy to follow and made perfect sense to me. You didn’t force any change on me; you allowed me to keep my voice, you only made it echo, and that’s what I’m looking for.

I think I’ll have to add that to my testimonials. 🙂

I will be starting work on this in the morning, and have a funny feeling I’m not going to get a lot of sleep. Actually, I think I might re-watch the Dude.

Anyhoo, below are links to Nicole’s blog, google+ page and Amazon link for her novel. Please check her out. You won’t be disappointed.

The feeling is completely mutual! The Universe was seriously looking out for both of us this week!
I can only say that I’m excited to be working with such a talented and amazing person – I’m honored to be on the same wavelength as you!

Aww, you’ve got me blushing now in a way even your manuscript didn’t. 😉

But thank you. I agree – the Universe was on side today. 🙂
