booking for July & beyond

Having seen how quickly my available editing slots filled up this last week, I thought it wise to announce that I am now happy to accept bookings for July 22* and beyond.

I  will consider any length, fiction or non-fiction, blogs or articles…

If you are ready to book, simply let me know your word count and preferred range of dates, and I will reply as soon as possible.

If you would rather take advantage of my free 1000 word sample edit before deciding, please forward that to me at economyedits@gmail.com with a short synopsis and full manuscript word count, and I will work on it and return as soon as possible, and you can see if we will be a good fit.

Despite suggestions from many that I should increase my fees, they remain as low as they were, despite my experience ever-improving my abilities. 🙂

I look forward to hearing from you soon, and working with you later.

🙂

* was originally July 11, but a new client has since been scheduled. 🙂

2015 editing sessions now available

Plan ahead, and book your 2015 editing needs with me.

It is never too early to schedule those all-important first and final edits for your book, to give you and it that extra advantage in tomorrow’s active and competitive indie writer market.

Even if you are not yet ready to submit your work for editing, if you book a slot with me (time dependent on estimated manuscript length, as in a 60k novel perhaps two weeks) I will hold that window open for you. But then we will also be able to bring it forward or push it back as you require, if your needs or schedule changes. Once you are “in” you have that advantage.

My rates are low, but my work is of a high quality. Please read my testimonials, marvel at my rates, and consider me for your editing requirements. I have worked on fiction and non-fiction of all lengths, from a blog post or 100 word story up to a 900 page (275,000 word) novel.

Or submit a short sample for a free trial edit. 🙂

space for one book edit

Okay, I have space for one more book edit in November, and one in December.

This could be full-length fiction, a collection of shorts, something non-fiction, blog entries – whatever it is you have that you want edited.

And it’s first come, first served.

Although, if you are someone seeking assistance, I will try my very best to find a way to help you.

Try me. 🙂

diary/schedule now posted

As the subject says: my Diary & Schedule is now posted here:

https://economyedits.wordpress.com/diaryschedule/

Please contact me if you think I can be of any help, if you would like to take advantage of my free 1000 word sample edit, or if you have any questions regarding what I do, how I do it, or… well, just about anything edit-related, I guess. 🙂

How Brave Are You?

HOW BRAVE ARE YOU? is the working title of the compelling and eye-opening book I have been editing for the wonderful Nicole Delacroix:

http://nicole-delacroix.com/nicoles-blog/

https://plus.google.com/u/0/+NicoleDelacroix/about

It is a riveting and sexyfun read, being a somewhat voyeuristic ride through the innermost thoughts of all the kind (and kinky) souls who anonymously completed Nicole’s questionnaire. I was intrigued, shocked, amused and (yes, I’ll admit it, a little) titillated by its honesty and good-time-sass. 😮 🙂

So yes, the final run-through is now complete, and I want to thank Nicole for letting me play a part in her crazywonderful ride, and wish her & HBAY all the very best in finding an agent/publisher.

The question now is: HOW BRAVE IS AN AGENT?

If you think you know of one who might just be brave and insightful enough to be interested in an unputdownably sexy read, please get in touch. 🙂

available for work from August 18th

Hello from

cropped-economyedits.png

I will have one or two pieces of final edit work to do after August 18th, taking 5-10 days, but they will need to be scheduled as and when the authors are ready.

Apart from those, I am available to work on new projects. 🙂

So, if you have some editing/copyediting/line-editing you want doing, please contact me by posting a reply to this with your email address, or email me direct at economyedits@gmail.com

I am happy to work on anything from a one-page letter to a 500,000 word novel. Or longer. Although, obviously, that monster-novel will take a much longer commitment than the letter.

My rates are still just £3 or $5 per 1000 words, or a flat £3/$5 fee for anything shorter. For shorter pieces I will invoice upon completion, but for longer works I will invoice half when I begin and half upon completion, with an option (not obligatory) for a half-price final read through whenever you have completed any alterations.

Please read my testimonials page for more insight, and/or forward a 1000 word sample for me to work on and return, free of charge, no obligation, for you to decide whether you want to work with me.

I am already  looking forward to working with you. 😉

mini update, with schedule to come

Just to keep you up to speed on what I’m working on…

Currently working through the line edit for the second Munchkin series book. Yay!

Then there will be a final edit check for HBAY – you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. 😮

Then I’m hoping to work through a final edit check on Munchkin 2.

And THEN I’m hoping to work on a different book by one of the above authors; and THEN a different book by the other author. 🙂 🙂

When I have confirmation regarding these, and have figured out my schedule, I will announce availability and actively seek more books to edit and clients to help. However, if you would already like me to consider you, please contact me @

economyedits@gmail.com

Otherwise I shall post n request as and when.

I will happily edit fiction or non-fiction, any length; and will also help with blurbs, promotions, letters etc.

Try me.

Rates are currently just £3 or $5 per 1000 words.
